Recipe: Grilled Pork Chops with Apple Chutney


  • 4 pork chops
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 teaspoons dried thyme
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste

For Apple Chutney:

  • 2 apples, peeled, cored, and diced
  • 1/2 cup diced red onion
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste


Preparing Pork Chops:

  1. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
  2. Rub the pork chops with olive oil and season with dried thyme, salt, and black pepper.

Making Apple Chutney:

  1. In a saucepan over medium heat, combine diced apples, diced red onion, brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, ground cinnamon, ground cloves, ground nutmeg, salt, and black pepper.
  2. Cook the mixture, stirring occasionally, for about 15-20 minutes until the apples are tender and the chutney thickens. Remove from heat and let it cool.

For Grilling Pork Chops:

  1. Place the seasoned pork chops on the preheated grill.
  2. Grill for approximately 4-5 minutes on each side, or until the internal temperature reaches 145°F (63°C) for medium-rare or 160°F (71°C) for medium.
