  • 4 pounds beef short ribs
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 onions, chopped
  • 4 carrots, chopped
  • 4 celery stalks, chopped
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups red wine (such as Cabernet Sauvignon)
  • 4 cups beef broth
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 1 sprig fresh rosemary
