Recipe: Mediterranean-Style Pasture-Fed Lamb Burgers

Ingredients:

Lamb Burgers:

  • 1 pound Pasture-Fed Ground Lamb
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped red onion
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon ground coriander
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • 4 hamburger buns

Tzatziki Sauce:

  • 1/2 cup Greek yogurt
  • 1/2 cucumber, finely grated and drained
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon fresh dill, chopped
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste

Assembly:

  • Fresh lettuce leaves
  • Sliced tomatoes
  • Sliced red onion
  • Feta cheese (optional)

Instructions:

Lamb Burgers:

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine Pasture-Fed Ground Lamb, breadcrumbs, finely chopped red onion, minced garlic, ground cumin, ground coriander, salt, and black pepper. Mix until all ingredients are thoroughly incorporated.
  2. Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape them into burger patties.
  3. Preheat your grill or stovetop grill pan over medium-high heat. Grill the lamb burgers for about 4-5 minutes per side, or until they reach an internal temperature of 160°F (71°C).
  4. Toast the hamburger buns on the grill until lightly browned.

Tzatziki Sauce:

  1. In a bowl, combine Greek yogurt, finely grated and drained cucumber, minced garlic, fresh lemon juice, chopped fresh dill, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.

Final Assembly:

  1. Place each grilled Pasture-Fed Lamb Burger on a toasted hamburger bun.
