Description
Produced by Smart’s of Churcham, Harefield is a Gloucestershire version of Parmesan cheese – but a lot less expensive!
It is made in the same way as their Single Gloucester and then aged for at least one year.
It has been described by The Real Cheese Companion as having: “a hard, dry texture and a tang as salty/ sharp but grassier and without the smoky tones of Parmesan”.
